"God! Thank God you are not man! " I exclaimed from the core of my being, I do not intend to be grammatically correct in making that statement so take it as raw as it came.
What is man, a double minded being who is easily tossed and turned by the circumstances surrounding him.
Man who says one thing today and because he is just human, he can not fulfil the words he has spoken.
Man even in His strength is weak and would make excuses to justify himself. Man who professes love today and because of a hurt is no where to be found anymore.
Man O Man! I do not shout man as male alone but I am talking about the male and female creature He called Adam. For we have in our nature a track record of frailty that we received after the fall.
We who were made in God's image fell with our ancestors and they multiplied based on their own genetics.
If God were man and man were God, Haa! We for don die finish, for the wrath of man is to be feared, the anger that burns that makes a day's foolishness wipe away years of good. The evil that makes faults easy to notice than strength is to be praised.
But it was for Man that God became Man... The word became flesh and dwelt amongst us. Showing us time and time again the blue print of the making of man.
He showed love to the messed up fellas, men and women who by all self righteous standard are not worthy to stand before people.
He forgave much and loved more, that love killed him. What man is He that says "Father forgive them..." when they were right in the act of killing him.
What kind of love is that, the love that forgives and does not bring record of evil. Haa! What kind of compassion is that, making excuses for the sinner and saying, go and sin no more.
What madness is this called love that made him willingly surrender to be killed and a criminal not minding his reputation and what people say about him.
It is this Jesus that died, he became Sin and was rejected by His father, he nailed it to the cross and declared IT IS FINISHED!!!
the same spirit that rose Jesus from the dead lives in you. The same ability to love selflessly works in you, the grace to forgive has not yet dried up. You have been forgiven much and given a new life, make that life count.
God is not like the man we grew up knowing, He became the type of Man he intended for Man to be from the beginning. Selah!
We remember the death of Jesus today, He died and so did you, He lives and you live also. Glory.
